OLIVE OIL EXTRACTION PLANT
Continuous olive oil plant system is a whole of machinery which comprises equipment starting from the bunker where acceptance is carried out upon harvest of olives and their arrival to the factory to the separator where olive oil is output.
HAUS Continuous Olive Oil Systems are plants developed for clearing the harvested olives from foreign matters without touch of hand and to produce quality natural virgin olive oil. Olive pressing is controlled by the central control panel in both 3 phases and 2 phases. These systems are being improved every other day with the sensors, software and automation in the course of the advancing technology.
Olive oil is produced solely through mechanical methods employing centrifugal force and under controlled conditions and by preserving the quality attributes of olive fruit by satisfying the requirements of cold pressing or other required conditions. The purpose of the continuous system is to preserve the organoleptic properties of oil inside the olive while extracting the major part, to perform a hygienic oil production, to increase capacity per unit area, to obtain a high value product with high yield adopting the understanding of "olive oil for health".
Although these systems are interconnected, they are divided into three main sections as olive cleaning, olive paste kneading and olive processing sections. Auxiliary units are also available in addition to those.
WORK PRINCIPLE
Olives delivered to the plant are unloaded to the olive bunker by the operator/farmer and then conveyed to olive washing machine over the conveyor belt. Separated from their leaves, the olives are washed clean in olive washing machine without causing damage to the fruit. Washed olives fed into Olive Crusher bunker are conveyed to the crushing section through screw conveyor. Olives are crushed in Olive Crusher and semi-paste is obtained. Delivered to Malaxator chambers by screw conveyor or pumps, the semi-paste is kneaded for a period and under conditions specified by the operator in the malaxator and rendered ready for maximal oil extraction. The prepared paste is pumped to the decanter by the paste pump. Water is added under control of flowmeter if required (for 3-phase systems). Olive paste is disintegrated into phases in the decanter due to centrifugal forces and separated as olive oil and pomace with black water. (In case of 3-phase production olive oil, black water and pomace are output separately). Fine particles are removed from the oil with the vibratory sieve located adjacent to the decanter. While the oil pump transfers the oil to separator holding vessel the pomace is conveyed to the pomace silo/pomace tank by the conveyor or piston pump. Olive oil is rendered ready for consumption upon eliminating the micron-sized particles in the separator centrifuge. Depending on the factory conditions the produced olive oil is taken to the settling tanks or delivered to the customers in case of factories which work for the producer according to the purpose. Heat demand of the plant is provided by boiler. The plant is controlled by the operator using a PLC controlled panel and display equipped with touch screen.
