Waste Mineral Oil
Waste mineral oils are generated through extraction or processing of crude oil. Waste mineral oils are generated by refineries, lagoons with waste oil content, terminals, drilling operations, processing of ore, waste receiving facilities and crude oil tank bottom sludges and processable waste petroleum derived oils. Such type of wastes has a highly variable characterization. HAUS offers environmentally friendly solutions with 3-phase decanters and separators for separation or recovery of such wastes.

Process
Waste mineral oils are generally subjected to the following phases upon being taken in storage tanks.
They are heated up to 50-70C for a certain retention period. Free water which separated from the waste physically is taken to the retention phase. Upon removal of the free water from the waste storage tanks, water-oil mixture is fed to the decanter by pumping. Solid phase is separated by the decanter. Then, the product separated from the solid phase is heated to 85-90 C and fed to the separator. Recovery of the oil phase is ensured by the separator and the output water phase is transferred to the treatment plant. Solid phase which was separated in the previous stage is transferred to disposal plants or to incineration due to its high calorific content.
