Paste Pump
The Paste Pump is a progressive cavity pump (also called mono pump) to tranfer the olive paste from the malaxer to the decanter. The pumping effect is made by a stainless steel screw rotating inside a rubber stator. The capacity of the pump is dependent from the motor power, the stator/rotor size and the rotating speed. This type of pump is the ideal one for pumping abrasive and viscous product, while reducing turbulence, shear stress, and risk for emulsion. The part which is subject to wear, the rubber stator, is a spare part of common use and easily replaceable by the operator. The body of the pump in contact with the product is made of stainless steel, while the rubber selected for the stator is food-grade, suitable for oil and with good resistance to abrasion.

WORKING PRINCIPLE
The Paste Pump has a variable speed motor and therfore the quantity of paste sent to the decanter can be adjusted from the touch screen or from a manual selector on the plant control panel. The product which comes with the bottom screw of the malaxer is poured into the body of the paste pump.
