NIR Device

NIR In-Line Process Measurement Device is designed to continuously monitor the moisture and oil values of the product at critical points in the olive oil production line. Using near-infrared measurement technology, the system measures changes in the process at short intervals and provides operators with continuous data on current production conditions.

The device enables the monitoring of moisture, total oil and oil on dry matter (FDM) values, particularly in olive paste and pomace. This makes it possible to monitor process behavior during production without relying solely on samples taken at specific intervals.

Measurement results updated every 15 seconds help operators identify changes caused by raw material characteristics, harvest period, shift conditions and process settings more quickly. In particular, continuous monitoring of the oil remaining in the pomace at the decanter outlet helps make abnormal oil losses visible at an early stage and allows the necessary process settings to be evaluated more rapidly.

The system not only provides real-time measurements but also tracks measurement results as trends and historical records, helping transform the production process into a comparable and retrospectively evaluable data history. In this way, operator experience is supported by measurement data, while the effects of different raw materials, shifts and production conditions on the process can be evaluated more systematically.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

The NIR In-Line Process Measurement Device operates through a measurement probe integrated directly into the production line. The probe directs near-infrared light onto the product surface and continuously measures the light reflected from the product.

The reflection behavior at different wavelengths, depending on the product structure, is analyzed by the spectrometer inside the device. The resulting spectral data is converted into moisture and oil information that can be used for process management through product-specific calibration models.

At the decanter inlet, the system monitors the moisture and oil content of the olive paste, making changes in raw material characteristics visible. This data provides operators with decision support when evaluating decanter settings, malaxation temperature and other process conditions.

At the decanter outlet, the moisture and oil values of the pomace are continuously monitored. This allows changes in the amount of oil remaining in the output to be detected quickly. When an unusual change in measurement values occurs, operators can evaluate decanter settings, feed conditions or other process parameters at an earlier stage.

Measurement results are transferred to the system interface and cloud infrastructure. Operators can monitor not only individual real-time values but also changes and trends over time. This structure enables the inlet behavior of the process and outlet losses to be evaluated together, supporting more controlled, traceable and data-driven production management.

"Before the machines are unloaded from the vehicle or the container, the general control must be made, and the machines condition must be recorded with photographs or video if possible. The date, time and location of the damage should be noted. As soon as the damage is detected, a report must be signed by the driver of the vehicle, the number of damaged containers must be indicated on the CMR convention and the signature of the carrier must be taken. CMR insurance will then be activated. In case of shipment damages, the damage report prepared with the logistics company should be directed to HAUS, meanwhile, the relevant insurance expert should be informed immediately and act according to the expert's instructions. It should not be forgotten that you may have to pay material damages due to transactions that are not done correctly on time. For more detailed information, you can request assistance from the relevant HAUS Sales department or After Sales Services department."
