Domestic Power for the Technology Move:
HAUS Air Foil Bearing Turbo Blower
HAUS Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. was accepted into the Technology Move Program of the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye with its high-efficiency air foil bearing turbo blower project. This step, which will respond to the growing demand in industry for energy efficiency and localization, specifies HAUS’s vision of digital transformation and Industry 4.0-compatible product development.
Why Is This Project Important?
Today, blowers used in treatment plants and oxygen-demanding industrial processes stand out for their high energy consumption, frequent failures and costly maintenance processes.
Existing technologies cannot fully meet these needs. HAUS aims to fill this gap in the sector and reduce external dependency by developing a domestic, high-efficiency turbo blower.
Project Objectives and Benefits
Air Foil Bearing Turbo Blower by HAUS
Leveraging years of engineering expertise, HAUS introduces a new technology: Türkiye’s first domestically produced air foil bearing turbo blower.
The R&D journey that started in 2016 with magnetic bearing turbo blowers has now evolved into a brand-new product range developed entirely through HAUS engineering.
A 10-Year Journey from R&D to Production
The first studies on turbo blower technologies at HAUS began in 2016. In the initial projects, magnetic bearing technology was used; all designs, from the impeller to the casing and from the volute to the cooling system, were developed in-house.
Manufacturing of the parts was also carried out at HAUS facilities. Automation, control software and all testing processes were conducted by HAUS engineers.
An air foil bearing turbo blower is an innovative technology in which the rotor rotates without any mechanical contact, entirely on a high-pressure air film.
In this way, the system operates oil-free, minimizes maintenance requirements and delivers quiet, clean and efficient performance.
So, Why This Technology?
The sector increasingly needs blowers that are more economical, quieter and require less maintenance. In low- and medium-capacity plants, air bearing systems provide a significant advantage both technically and in terms of cost.
Where Is It Used?
It offers an optimum solution primarily for wastewater treatment plants, as well as industrial air applications, process aeration systems and many processes requiring oxygen.
How Does It Work?
In air bearing systems, bearing support is provided directly by an air film, without the need for lubrication systems or complex electronic control units.
Who Developed It?
All design, software, manufacturing and testing processes were carried out by HAUS’s own engineering team. In other words, the product was developed end-to-end in-house by HAUS engineers.
