The 14th National Natural Extra Virgin Olive
Oil Quality Awards organized annually by Zeytindostu Association found their owners. For the first time in this year, 94 “Quality Award” candidates have passed chemical analysis and reached the sensory evaluation stage. Apart from the Zeytindostu panels, 68 specimens were identified as perfect and awarded in various categories as the result of the “online” evaluation, which is a first in our country with a total of 20 panel members from six different panels in Turkey as Aydın Commodity Exchange Laboratory Tasting Panel, Bursa Food and Feed Control Research Institute Tasting Panel, Izmir Olive Research Institute Directorate Tasting Panel, Ayvalık Chamber of Commerce Tasting Panel and Izmir Commodity Exchange Panel.
The online award ceremony was supported by the contributions of HAUS and Phenolive boutique olive oil production facility.
DEFNELIA WINS THE PREMIUM MEDAL
The winners of the 14th National Extra Virgin Olive Oil Quality Comptition organized by Zeytindostu Association have been announced. Defnelia olive oil with high amount of polyphenols established in 2020 and made a name for itself in a short time, won premium medal in 14th National Extra Virgin Olive Oil Quality Competition. According to the results announced online by Zeytindostu Association due to pandemic conditions, Defnelia olive oils were deemed worthy for the premium product award in the Memecik olive category. Defnelia Olive Ixir established by Özden Gözlüklü Saka, the Board of Directors Member of HAUS Makine Sanayi Ticaret A.Ş., appreciated by a wide audience in a short time period.
