Continuous-System Avocado Oil Production Plant
The HAUS Avocado Oil Production Plant is an integrated system comprising compatible equipment that performs all process stages in a continuous and controlled flow, from preparing avocados for production through oil separation and purification.
After foreign materials are removed from the avocados entering the production line, the pit and peel are separated from the flesh, the flesh is reduced to the appropriate particle size to form a homogeneous paste, and the oil is released during malaxation through gentle mixing at low speed and controlled temperature.
The oil, liquid and pomace phases are then separated by a decanter centrifuge. At the separator stage, residual free water, fine solid particles and sediment are removed from the oil to obtain high-purity avocado oil.
Continuous Avocado Oil Production
Continuous avocado oil production systems are production systems in which avocados are continuously fed into the production line and purified avocado oil is obtained at the other end of the process.

System Purpose
The purpose of the HAUS Avocado Oil Production Plant is to ensure that avocados suitable for production are processed under controlled conditions, the oil in the fruit flesh is released, and the oil is efficiently separated from the liquid and solid phases.

WORKING PRINCIPLE
Operating Principle of the Continuous-System Avocado Oil Production Plant
The HAUS Avocado Oil Production Plant consists of raw material preparation, avocado paste preparation, malaxation, phase separation with a decanter, and oil purification with a separator sections.
1. Preliminary Inspection and Sorting
Avocados delivered to the plant first undergo a preliminary inspection. Damaged, rotten, or otherwise unsuitable fruit is sorted out before entering the production line.
Avocados suitable for production are transferred to the washing machine via the conveyor system.
2. Washing the Avocados
The avocados are transferred to the washing chamber and into the water tank. During the pre-washing stage, coarse dirt, soil, and dust residues on the fruit surface are softened.
Foreign materials on the surface are removed by water circulation. After washing, the avocados are rinsed with clean water.
The cleaned avocados are directed to the conveyor belt with the aid of water circulation and are air-dried during transfer.
3. Pit and Peel Separation
The washed avocados are fed continuously and in a controlled manner into the pit separator-crusher machine via a conveyor.
The machine’s special rotor system breaks down the avocados in a controlled manner, separating the peel, fruit flesh, and pit from one another.
After crushing, the pits are separated from the fruit flesh by a special screen system that utilizes differences in size and hardness. The separated pits are discharged from the system through a separate outlet.
4. Homogenization of the Fruit Flesh
The pitted avocado flesh is broken down to the desired particle size within the rotor and screen system.
This process produces a homogeneous avocado puree. The prepared puree is then ready to be transferred to the malaxation stage.
5. Malaxation
The prepared avocado paste is fed continuously and in a controlled manner into the malaxer using a lobe pump.
The screw system inside the malaxer continuously mixes the avocado paste at low speed and controlled temperature. During this gentle malaxation process, oil droplets in the paste coalesce, allowing the oil to be released from the fruit tissue.
Under reference process conditions, the avocado paste is malaxed in a controlled manner at a temperature range of 30–45 °C for approximately 40–45 minutes.
At the end of the malaxation process, the avocado paste becomes a mixture of free oil, liquid phase, and solids suitable for centrifugal separation.
6. Phase Separation with a Decanter Centrifuge
After malaxation is complete, the avocado paste is fed into the decanter centrifuge to separate the oil from the solid phase and vegetation water.
The centrifugal force inside the decanter separates the mixture into three main outlet phases according to differences in density:
- Avocado oil phase
- Liquid phase
- Pomace or cake phase
The quantities of liquid and pomace at the decanter outlet may vary depending on the moisture, solids, and oil content of the processed avocados.
7. Oil Purification with a Separator
The crude avocado oil obtained from the decanter centrifuge is fed to the separator for final purification.
The separator uses high centrifugal force to separate components with different densities in the oil. At this stage, residual free water, fine solid particles, and sediment are removed from the oil.
As a result of the separator process, high-purity avocado oil free from liquid and sediment is obtained.
