The main function of marine separators is to ensure long-lasting and efficient operation of ship engines by separating contaminants such as water and sediment in fuel and lubricating oil. This process improves engine performance, while at the same time reducing equipment wear and reducing operational costs.
First Marine Separator Made in Turkey: A Milestone
The import of many equipment in the Turkish maritime sector increases the costs and reveals the need for domestic production. HAUS Centrifuge Technologies has taken an important step to meet this need and developed a ship separator in international standards. The product, which was completed after long-term R&D studies and intensive design processes, has a certificate approved by Türk Loydu, a member of IACS (International Association of Classification Societies), and has entered the mass production phase.
Design and R&D Process
Our marine separators can be easily placed in limited spaces in engine rooms thanks to their compact design. It saves space with its low footprint and impresses with its high performance. The compact design facilitates maintenance and cleaning operations and enables a layout plan compatible with other equipment in the ship design. Thus, installation, integration and maintenance processes in shipyards are accelerated.
Depending on the needs of ship operators and engineering companies, marine separators can be designed as compact or as a single option. Especially fully equipped units minimise the layout complexity on board by housing all the necessary equipment (pumps, heaters, control panels, etc.) in a single hull. This provides time and cost advantages in project management.
Our separators are equipped with fully automated control systems and can operate effectively with minimal human intervention. The control and synchronization of all electromechanical, electromagnetic, and electropneumatic components are managed by the software developed in-house by our team. The water content of the cleaned product is monitored in real-time, and the system ensures that operations are maintained in compliance with the required standards, thereby maximizing operational reliability. The high level of automation minimises the risk of error while reducing labour costs. Their user-friendly interfaces and flexible control mechanisms help to increase the operational efficiency of the ship management.

In-house Launch: Proud Success
In the spirit of our gratitude and appreciation, we introduced our first ship separator, which was realised after a long period of meticulous studies and tests, with a special in-house launch.
Mr Hakkı Gözlüklü, Chief Executive Officer of HAUS, emphasised that this project proves our ability to produce fully independent technology as a national value, opens the door to new markets and applications and is a great source of motivation for our next targets.
Within the scope of the launch, project details were shared and commemorative gifts were presented to the teams who successfully accomplished this challenging journey.
