If we are to define the occupational health and safety, which is used extensively in business life, with the abbreviation “OHS”, we can express it as that. “systematic and scientific studies conducted to protect from conditions to harm health caused by various reasons during the execution of work in the workplace”
These studies bring a versatile discipline in order to ensure the safety of employees, production and business.

As HAUS, our motto is “caring about”, which is part of our values and is the northern star of all of us in terms of OHS. Because we attach great importance to especially human life, and ensuring that our employees can get to their homes and beloved ones in a happy and healthy manner after their work. And accordingly, we continue our work safety studies without slowing down.

The negative impact of the Covid-19 pandemic which has affected our country and the world since March 2020, had a negative impact on us at first in terms of occupational health and safety, as in almost every other point. However, through our motto “turning crisis into an opportunity”, we managed to turn the process in our favor with the support of our General Manager Hakkı GÖZLÜKLÜ and the contributions of our directors. For example, the collective OHS trainings which actually required to be held every two years as per the regulation could not be held due to prohibitions during this period; however, “on-the-job training meetings” that we started to implement in the morning were even more beneficial for us when we consider the daily repetition of the occupational safety trainings. Besides, trainings can be provided to the designated department in the designated place and time with equipment such as projector, blackboard, etc., included in our OHS Department in this process.

Another significant point is that we see a decrease of approximately 15 percent in the accident-loss rates of our employees compared to the first four months of the previous year, and we anticipate that this figure will be approximately 25 percent annually as the result of decisions we made in our “Occupational Health and Safety Board” that we hold every two months. Therefore, we expect our employees to always share their opinions and suggestions on occupational health and safety issues with us. They can always visit our OHS Department for a face-to-face meeting or it is of great importance of us that they use the near-miss information boxes and the Corrective and Preventive Action modules in the e-flow system in terms of notification which will enable us to intervene in the problems.
Eventually, each and every employee of us should know well that our OHS Department both as a full-time occupational safety specialist and as a full-time workplace physician is always ready to provide you with the best service with all its energy and dedication.
I wish everyone safe and secure days! Best regards.
