Creating technology loses its importance when you do not have the knowledge and vision to use it. Especially in sectors like ours that require expertise and competence, trained and qualified personnel are of great importance. In line with the essence of our brand, we continued our training and training to increase quality throughout 2022; and as a result of the trainings we have carried out in different regions, we have seen that the demand for the needs of the sector is increasing significantly and the number of institutions that can meet this need is very limited.
Of course, there are regional differences, but a significant decrease is observed in plant operators whose working hours do not exceed 3-4 months in a year. This situation brings very negative consequences for our customers. However, the necessity of adapting to technological developments in olive oil production is another factor. It is always difficult for seasonal employees to follow the latest developments and take proactive action. With the decrease in the number of operators who can provide this, our expert team addressed this growing gap in the sector; and together we designed what could be done and prepared an action plan.
First of all, we set our main goals. We put the issues such as providing employment to the local employees, raising awareness, accelerating the adaptation mentioned above, obtaining efficient vegetable oil in the season, ensuring healthy working conditions with the active and well-maintained use of the machines, and examining the details for the 2-phase olive oil squeezing process. After this stage, we determined our locations.
We have determined our first training place as Hatay and its nearby provinces. We have prepared a full Facility Operators Training, the content of which touches on all the points of need we have identified. We completed this free-of-charge program with 2 groups for 3 days. Around 80 participants benefited from this training. In our trainings, which we continued in Edremit, then in İzmir and Manisa, the number of participants exceeded 100 and the trainings are still continuing.
In summary, we continue our operator trainings, which we plan to continue in the new year, without slowing down. The positive feedback we receive for the trainings we provide to meet the needs and demands of the sector with our professional trainer staff gives us great pleasure.
