Olive Crusher
The Olive Crusher executes the first processing step necessary to extract the oil from the olives: the crushing of the olive into a granular olive paste. The Crusher influences the organoleptic properties found in the final product which is very important. For this specific reason, the hammer and sieve for crushing process has been designed by keeping it in mind. Feeding hopper makes the transfer of the olives to the hammer and sieve part with the help of the screw (some of our models are not with screw). Crusher hammer is designed by four metal heads, rotating around a central shaft, made by food-grade steel. Around the hammers there is a circular sieve, made of food-grade material, which has holes of diameters that can vary according to the harvest period. All these, namely, the material of hammers and the sieve, the diameter of the sieve holes, the sharp definition of the cutting surfaces and the speed of rotations influence the granularity and the physical condition of the olive paste, influencing both the quality and the yield of the oil extraction. A safety switch is placed on the crusher cover to avoid potential injuries to the operator during functioning. Hammers and sieve that are subject to wear are interchangeable parts. Olive Crusher is connected to the control panel and can be controlled from there. Generally, crusher operates automatically depending on the automation and various sensors in the malaxor.
WORKING PRINCPLE
HAUS Olives are fed directly to the Crusher by Crusher Elevator. The capacity of the Crusher is therefore regulated by adjusting the speed of the olive belt conveyor. In case of overload, a safety sensor automatically stops the Crusher Elevator, Belt Conveyor and the entire supply line and also sends an alarm signal to the control panel. The Crusher forces the olives which are fed from the centre, to pass through the sieve with the help of the hammers. The dynamic pressure force the olives to pass through the small holes, which varies according to the harvest period, to generate a granular olive paste. The olive paste coming out of the sieve falls into the Malaxer. The system is run by a powerful drive motor. There are water nozzles inside to moisten dry olives and prevent possible contraction. These nozzles can be controlled both manually and automatically.
